Center for Child and Youth Psychiatry
Expansion of the St. Jadwiga Provincial Specialist Hospital with a new building for the Children and Youth Psychiatry Center. The building adjoins an existing two-storey structure housing the adult psychiatry ward. It takes the form of two cuboid volumes stacked one on top of the other and refers to the planned extension of the main building, as these two structures will shape the architectural expression of the hospital complex from the Rataja Street side. Enclosing the space between the existing adult psychiatry ward and the planned psychiatry unit makes it possible to create a closed courtyard divided into two zones by a single-storey connector.
