New specialist hospital building in Opole

Expansion of the St. Jadwiga Provincial Specialist Hospital in Opole

A conceptual design for the expansion of the neurology and psychiatry specialist hospital complex with a new building connected to the main hospital structure, extending its range of functions. The new building is designed as a simple, cuboid form that visually references the main building, as both structures will define the unified and recognizable appearance of the hospital when viewed from a distance. The main entrance is located on the southern side, providing patients with direct and convenient access. Each floor of the new building is connected to the corresponding floor of the main hospital via a corridor link. The building comprises six above-ground storeys and one underground level, housing two intensive care units, an adult psychiatry ward, a post-stroke rehabilitation ward, a neurosurgery ward, neurosurgical and mental health outpatient clinics, as well as an admissions and coordination center, storage rooms, technical facilities, and utility spaces.
