Communal School Complex, Kazimierz Dolny

The school building, as a place for maturing, raising and educating young people, has a special function and should be given special consideration by the designer. In our project, we tried to create a friendly place for children, where they would love to come and where they would feel comfortable. We took care to provide good daylighting, which is conducive to learning, and to connect with the environment – visually through the use of large glazing, physically through the creation of terraces, balconies, summer rooms and school gardens. In the entrance areas, we used elements of small architecture and greenery, so that the entrances to the school are child-friendly, inviting children to play, use the playgrounds, etc., and the school is tailored to the scale of the child.
